Guest Speakers

Emma Cole- UK Growth Coach

In recent years business owners have faced and had some unique challenges.

The ability to adapt and change ensures they withstand economic downturns, consumer uncertainty and anything else life throws them.

Based on years of coaching experience and being a business owner myself I will be offering insight and knowledge of the challenges being faced by SMEs in today’s market. I will be discussing how best to prepare for the turbulent times ahead and truly win in business.

By sharing knowledge and learning about the SME sector you can not only survive but thrive!

Clive Allcorn- Allcorn Photography

I’m Clive Allcorn, a photographer specialising in Brand and Headshot photography. Based near Marden in Kent,

A photographer for all of my adult life, I finally got the chance to create a business from my passion, when I retired from Kent Police in 2014. I have a compact studio set in a beautiful garden, surrounded by miles of countryside.

I will talk to you about the importance of the imagery you use in your marketing. I believe in putting the business owner front and centre of the business in both the images and the copy. Every aspect of your marketing should reflect you, your personality and your values. Only then will you attract the right clients.

Julian Wates Director- Sokada Marketing and Web Design

Julian has been working with websites since the early days of the Internet in 1997.

One of his key roles at Sokada is to work with clients to answer questions and formulate plans. Whether it’s building a new website or developing an old one he will be there to help you throughout the project, answering questions and keeping things on track.

Chris Irving Director- Curve Accountancy

Chris has been working in the industry for 33 years. He is a Fellow Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and specialises in the accounts, tax and payroll needs of small businesses, both limited companies and sole traders.

Chris’s down-to-earth approach and amiable personality ensure he is a popular speaker at business seminars and networking events. His enthusiasm for tax and accountancy matters is infectious and will leave you with a better understanding of the tax legislation that directly affects you and your business.

As a business owner himself, he understands and has empathy for all SME business owners, their accountancy needs and beyond.
