Christmas starts at Squerryes in Westerham near Sevenoaks on Wednesday 29 November 2023. A beautiful tree from the estate will be decorated outside the Deli & Cellar Door and The Winery Restaurant will be decorated with attractive greenery collected from the estate.
Late night shopping is available on Thursday evenings until 8pm from 30 November to 21 December 2023 in The Deli & Cellar Door. Each week will have a different focus with an expert on hand, plus the opportunity to sample some produce, from chocolates to cheese, wines and estate meats.
Whether you’re choosing a gift for friends, family or work associates, Squerryes has something suitable for everyone this Christmas. From Squerryes bottles in presentation boxes, wine by the case and vouchers for experiences to wonderful local food and drink hampers of varying sizes, engraved bottle tops, Squerryes blankets, magnums, chocolates and chutneys. Sustainably made wreaths and table decorations using greenery from around the estate will also be available to purchase.
Order your Christmas cheeses and meat in advance, with estate-reared beef, lamb and venison joints and cuts, as well as fresh turkey. Pick up fresh vegetables to complete your Christmas Day lunch.
Sustainability is something Squerryes is passionate about, so rather than having crackers in the restaurant, diners can take part in a ‘lucky dip’ for the chance to win a selection of Squerryes prizes, including wine, experiences and vouchers.
Squerryes Award Winning Restaurant
An estate-led seasonal menu awaits diners this Christmas, with traditional turkey, game and lamb as well as estate pears, English cheeses, vegetarian and vegan dishes. Choose from the weekday lunchtime set menu, à la carte evening menu or Sunday roast in the AA rosette award-winning restaurant, perfectly complimented by an extensive wine list. Bookings for tables or six or more dining from the à la carte menu will receive a complimentary bottle of Squerryes throughout December.
Special Christmas Set Menu for Groups
Groups of between 10-80 guests can enjoy a three course Christmas set menu in the AA Rosette award-winning restaurant for £50pp. Book by the end of November and enjoy a free glass of Squerryes Vintage Sparkling Wine on arrival. New this year is the option to add a canapé and Squerryes reception. Private dining for up to 24 people can be arranged in The Cork Room.
Open Christmas Eve (Sunday) with à la carte menu available from 12 noon to 4pm.
Special Events
Christmas Cheese & Wine Tasting – 16 November 2023 from 7.30pm -10pm – £60 members, £70 guests. Join Master of Wine, Laura Evans, as she talks through the perfect cheese and wine pairings, tasting five combinations, just in time for Christmas. Pre-order your Christmas cheese from the Deli and pick up your Christmas wine from The Cellar Door. Drink on arrival.
Luxury Wreath making workshop – 2 December 2023
Two sessions will be available: 10am to 1pm & 2.30pm to 5.30pm. £85 members £100 for guests. Using greenery from the Squerryes Estate, join local florist Hendrie from Flower & Grace to make the perfect wreath for your front door. Teas, coffees, a glass of Squerryes and mince pies will be provided. Attendees can also book in for lunch in The Winery Restaurant to make a day of it, either before or after this event.
New Year Celebration Dinner
For the perfect antidote to Dry January, start the New Year with a five-course estate-led tasting menu on Friday 5 January 2024 for £70 pp. Diners can also opt to add a wine pairing to their meal for £60 pp.
