Our last networking event before lockdown 1 was at Knole Academy and it was great to be back there last week. Hand sanitiser and masks still available to all!

Thanks to the team at Knole for providing the refreshments and allowing us to use the Oaks Theatre once again.

Dave Collins, Headteacher, welcomed all present and talked about the high achieving exam results during covid and the resilient nature of the pupils now coming out into the workplace. He introduced Julie Grant, Career Leader and Adviser and Russell Turner, head of Sixth Form. They would both love you to engage with their work experience, apprenticeship and skills programmes.

To get in touch with Julia call 01732 454608 ext 201/258 or email [email protected]

Knole also work very closely with all schools in the town including Sevenoaks School. Dave introduced Head teacher Jesse Elzinga who spoke briefly about the links and hoped that we could hold a networking event there soon.

Jeremy Major, Deputy Head, spoke about their exciting new initiative the ‘Knole Community Store’. This is to support the disadvantaged families within the school community with nutritious food produce and hygiene products. He asked local businesses for support either financially through the following bank account: Lloyds Bank, Knole Academy Trust, Payment ref: Community sort code: 30 97 49 acct no: 19439368 or donations of toiletries, household products, tinned goods or fresh vegetables and fruit.

Please please help such a valuable cause – no young person, or their family should go hungry – this is 2021 and this is Sevenoaks!

Clare Strange talked more about the partnership links with all primary and secondary schools locally. If as a business you would like to get involved with sponsoring any of their events please get in touch with Clare on [email protected]
