WREATH WORKSHOP – BESSELS GREEN, SEVENOAKS – 9TH DECEMBER 2024

Here’s your opportunity to get creative for the Christmas season by learning how to make a traditional Christmas wreath in time to hang on your front door! The wreath-making session will be hosted by Bessels Green Baptist Church and your tutor will be Emma from the florist Fuller Wilke Florals. A superb variety of wreath materials will be supplied with expert tuition, but please make sure you bring your own secateurs and gloves! Also included will be lots of refreshments and a delicious light lunch. To book this popular event, the all-in cost is just £45 per person!  Amazing value-for-money and budding wreath-makers will also be providing a vital donation towards the hospice care of children and adults with life-threatening illnesses in South and East Europe!

Hospices of Hope, a UK Charity based in Otford, Kent, is dedicated to supporting the development of hospice and end of life care in Eastern Europe. (Country partners include Romania, Moldova, Serbia, Albania, Greece – and Ukraine). With technical expertise, advocacy, training and funding from Hospices of Hope, these partner hospices are developing palliative care and other medical services to members of their native populations who are living with terminal and severe illness. Hospices of Hope is also working tirelessly with the governments of these partner countries to improve legislation, widen access to services and increase the resources available.

Over the last 32 years, Hospices of Hope has:

  • facilitated care for more than 70,000 children and adults suffering from a terminal or life-limiting illness;
  • Provided 25,000 training sessions in palliative care for medical professionals from 19 countries;

Yet 92% of people with terminal illness in Eastern Europe are still without proper care.
