Over 40 members and guests joined us at the Bat and Ball Station bright and early for a pre- Business Show buffet breakfast kindly sponsored by Warners Solicitors. The Café at the station provided both a healthy option of fruit and granola and some very tasty bacon butties! Thanks to Tom and compliments to the chef – Debbie. Paul Baker, Chamber board director welcomed everyone and introduced Helen French and Margaret Carr, the Net Zero Team at Sevenoaks District Council. They shared information with us on what the District Council has been able to achieve towards getting greener and some of the challenges they face with their fleet and their property portfolio which includes owning a petrol station! We raised £85 for Sevenoaks Samaritans which will fund 140 calls from the vulnerable and distressed. The Samaritans branch in Sevenoaks is a year old this month and is looking to increase its group of volunteers. The Sevenoaks Business Show opened at 10am at the Bat & Ball Centre across the bridge from the station and was very well attended. We had a stand at the Show and run a business card draw for a years free membership which was won by Jess Gibson at The TN Card – welcome.
