Carla Loveday from the Corporate and Commercial team at CooperBurnett LLP in Tunbridge Wells, has been promoted to Senior Associate Paralegal.

Carla joined the firm three years ago and came with an excellent background and experience in legal services, and also the corporate and retail sectors.

Since joining CooperBurnett, she has worked on a number of varied deals and guided clients through the process with a professional and caring hand. She has also mentored new CooperBurnett team members as they embark on a career in law.

On top of this, Carla has thrown herself into business development, being a regular attendee at Sevenoaks Chamber and enTWine meetings, as well as being a founder member of interTWine, the business forum for aspiring managers and directors.

She is also a big supporter of our community programme at CooperBurnett. Only last month, she co-led the Sunrise Social walk which launched the third Walk Tonbridge Festival, while she supported walkers on Walk Tonbridge Marathon day with her endless enthusiasm, encouragement and smiles.

“When Carla joined us during the pandemic three years ago, I said ‘she brings with her a huge amount of experience and heaps of enthusiasm’,” says Victoria Sampson, Partner and Head of Corporate and Commercial Services. “We have continued to benefit greatly from her experience – and her enthusiasm has never dulled. Carla delivers exceptional client service and is a much valued member of #TeamCB.”

Carla adds: “Today’s news means a great deal to me, I am both delighted and humbled. These past three years have been a whirlwind and what I have learnt from them is that to grow and develop; our passion for what we do is the engine room of our drive and zeal to press on; and to work hard and push out as far as we can. But it’s also so much more than this. We need the support and encouragement of community, connection and champions; TeamCB is all three for me.”
