Thank you for joining us at the Chamber Charity Golf Day. Luckily the weather held, and some great rounds of golf were played!
Thank you very much for your generosity and participation in helping us make the day a great success. We are delighted to announce we raised £2000 for Sevenoaks Samaritans.
Sevenoaks Samaritans would like to thank Chamber members and their guests for generously supporting us at the Charity Golf Day. The money raised will provide vital funds to train and support local volunteers to be there for people who desperately need someone.
It costs approximately £200 to train a volunteer and the money raised will help us reach our ambitious goals of reaching 150 listening volunteers to offer emotional support to our callers. Every day Samaritans volunteers respond to around 10,000 calls for help, and we are working hard to ensure we are always there 24/7.
