GET A TASTE FOR VIRTUAL ROMANIAN COOKING ON 11th MARCH WITH HOSPICES OF HOPE

Renowned author and foodwriter, Irina Georgescu, invites you to join her for Hospices of Hope’s Virtual Cook-along on Thursday 11th March.

Irina’s latest publication ‘Carpathia – food from the heart of Romania’ published by Frances Lincoln, has received wide acclaim and was recognised by the Sunday Times as one of the best cookery books of 2020.

Irina wants to share her excitement and fascination for the flavours and textures of Romanian food. She believes that there is no better way to tell the tale of a nation than through its food and will be demonstrating her delicious “Chicken with baked sauerkraut and dill polenta” recipe which she personally developed with the inspiration from her mother, family – and Romania.

All proceeds raised through the event will benefit Hospices of Hope which supports hospice care in south east European countries, including Romania.

Interim Fundraising and Communications Manager, Jess McKechie, said:

“It is our 30th Anniversary this year and it is wonderful to start the celebrations with Irina, whose beautiful book evokes the heart of Romania – where our hospice work started.”
