Vacancy Out of Hours Removals (On call) & daytime funeral bearing
Type: Casual, out of hours on call (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off) & day time funeral. Location: Sevenoaks & surrounding areas
A leading independent family run funeral service company has a vacancy for someone with a can do attitude & possess a positive outlook. The role is varied, mainly unskilled manual work, so physical fitness is essential. The successful candidate must be reliable, presentable and personable. A clean driving licence is essential whilst numeracy, literacy and some knowledge of IT is also required. Training is on the job.
The roles may suit someone who is currently on furlough (with your current employer’s permission you can work for a Key Worker) as funeral directors are classified as key workers. Out of hours duties will comprise out of hours removals on a two week on two week off stand-by rota. Funeral bearing involves carry the coffins on funerals at crematoria & cemeteries.
For a successful applicant once the current restrictions are lifted the opportunity to become a chauffeur/bearer may exist. This position is offered on the basis of a zero hour contract or a limited hours fixed contract.
Experience is preferred but is not essential as getting the right person for the role is all important given that you will be the ‘face of the business.’
