Wednesday, 25th March
11:00 – 13:30

The event is designed to better inform and motivate students about the world of work and potential employers and careers which they could consider. There is no obligation for any business attending to provide work, or placements, for students.

Hayesbrook has a diverse academic record and not all students will go to university. Having met many of Year 12 and Year 13 and spent time with the Academy Council, it is clear that there is a real desire to learn more about the world of work, particularly from local businesses.

Steven Reader is the Assistant Principal and Careers Lead at Hayesbrook. Steven manages a proactive careers programme at Hayesbrook and has been running the Careers Fair for the last 3 years. During this time, the event has grown is size supported by universities and local businesses. The event is structured as a market place activity and is held in the school hall. Students receive a short profile of each company attending to help structure conversations. Exhibitors are encouraged to bring suitable promotional material for students to help them think about their future career.

Businesses who are interested in supporting Hayesbrook’s students to gain a better understanding of the world of work should contact Steven Reader direct on 01732 500600 or reader@hayesbrook.kent.sch.uk

This is a great opportunity for local Sevenoaks Chamber businesses to help shape our local workforce for the future and to help them better understand the world of work. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
