Sevenoaks Town has experienced the same economic disruption as other parts of the UK and world due to the need to address public health concerns during the COVID 19 pandemic and the need to restrict public movement to contain the virus.

On 30th April 2020 the Sevenoaks Town Team (formerly known as Sevenoaks Town Partnership) hosted a virtual meeting with 38 participants to discuss proposal for a Sevenoaks Town Recovery Plan for the next stages of and post COVID 19.

The Town Team recognised that there are many factors that are beyond the team’s and local businesses control, not least being the protection of the nation’s public health following public health guidelines versus impact on the national and local economy; restoring public confidence to come back into businesses, town centres, retail and hospitality venues.

The draft Sevenoaks Town Recovery Plan aims to set out practical measures where councils, businesses and residents can work together in everyone’s best interest so that Sevenoaks remains a vibrant place to live, work and do business.
