We had a fantastic networking meeting at Swanley on Wednesday held at the Alexandra Suite in Central Swanley. Our thanks go to Steve Nash and the team from Swanley Town Council who continue to support our meetings and events. Steve talked about the numerous advertising opportunities available in Swanley through the Town Crier that is posted through every household in Swanley and also at Swanley Park, the main tourist attraction for the town that has thousands of visitors per year.  If you would like to find out more about advertising opportunities please get in touch with Suzanne Barnbrook via email at SBarnbrook@swanleytowncouncil.gov.uk.

We were also pleased to hear from our Swanley Ambassador Mark Perkins from Insight6 who was given the opportunity to showcase his business to the meeting. Mark’s business is all about knowing your customer and understanding their experience.  Mark offers coaching, focus groups, business expertise and advice to local businesses to ensure they can make their customer experience the best it can be, and ensure their customers return.   There were a number of businesses in the room who have already used Mark’s unique approach who were full of praise for the work he does.  If you would like to find out more please contact mark.perkins@insight6.com.

As always we had our charity business card draw and Swanley based charity We are Beams were on hand to encourage our members to get involved. There are a number of ways businesses can support local charities through races, corporate sponsorship and volunteering. Please see the We Are Beams website to find out more. Congratulations to Debbie Collier from Emil Thomas Associates for winning the bottle of Prosecco.

The Chamber are pleased to have nominated We Are Beams as one of our charities of the year.  Throughout our meetings and events we will be collecting money via a business card draw and at the end of the year all proceeds will be equally split between We Are Beams, Hospices of Hope and West Kent Mind.

Our next Swanley meeting will be held at the We Are Beams offices on 22nd May from 10.30-12.00.  To pre-register your space click HERE.

We discussed the possibility of a curry evening in April but due to the Easter Holiday it was decided to delay until later in the year.

We hope to see you at the next Swanley event!
