West Kent Mind is a local mental health charity, with a mission to enrich lives through better mental health by offering support to Get Well, Stay Well, Thrive.

A better understanding of mental health, personally and professionally, benefits everyone. The experienced West Kent Mind training team offers a wide range of high quality, relevant and interactive mental health courses, wellbeing workshops and workplace training.

All are designed to teach practical skills and increase knowledge, awareness and understanding of mental health at home, in our communities and in the workplace.

Training Manager Ceri Hodgkiss said:

According to the ONS, 1 in 5 adults reported experiences of depression in early 2021, compared to 1 in 10 before the pandemic. Left untreated, mental health problems become more difficult to treat. So now is the time to equip yourself with the skills to notice when someone is becoming unwell, the confidence to support them, and the knowledge to guide them to other sources of support.’

CPD certified short workshops are £40 pp and the fully accredited Mental Health First Aid course is offered at the special rate of just £150 pp (saving £150 on the RRP £300) to those who live or work in West Kent. The next course starts on Tuesday 11 January.
