join us for Third Thursday Networking on Thursday 21st November 2024 at The Oaks Specialist College.
The Oaks Specialist College is a not-for-profit, registered charity that started just 7 yrs ago with 10 learners and 2/3 rooms in a shared building. It now welcomes learners from 6 different local authorities, has a turnover of c£3.5m, contributes to government think tanks, gained an OUTSTANDING on first full Ofsted inspection, partner with the likes of DPD, Mitie and Tesco and is the only SEND post 18 provision in the world with Microsoft Showcase accreditation.
They provide practical, meaningful and applicable training and education enabling our young adults to leave us with a fuller, sustainable and REAL future.
It is their absolute privilege to work alongside a current cohort of 126, 18-25yr olds – all who have a variety of abilities and desires for the future – they are all completely different but come together under one roof to develop their independence and employability skills. They welcome organisations and businesses into our community to support and scaffold our common goals and aspirations.
