I’m sure it will come as no surprise, that considering the latest government advice, we have decided it is necessary to cancel our networking events and meetings until further notice. We will continue to assess this in line with guidelines and advice, but the safety and well-being of our members is, of course, a top priority.
We have also decided to cancel our increase in membership fees as we feel this is an unnecessary pressure on our members at this time.
We will continue to operate as best we can and concentrate our efforts on our own contingency plans and finding effective ways to support members remotely and promote some online networking.
Some of our plans in development and under consideration are:
- Introduce webinars and discussion groups
- Publish regular blogs and information
- Improved communication on our website
- Regular newsletters and discussion documents
- Increased use of the Chamber Linked-in Group to encourage member networking
Please keep an eye on our website and e-mail/social media communications for updates and news on how we intend to roll out some of the support structures. If you have any suggestions on how we can support you or how you might help to support fellow members, please do get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
Kathryn, myself and the Board Directors are committed to supporting you at this time, you can see contact details of our team HERE.
We are very proud of our highly supportive business community, and our continued support of each other is essential to help us through unchartered waters. Please stay well and keep in touch.
